I listened to a very interesting interview on NPR’s “The Dianne Rehm Show” last Thursday, Aug. 23 Jonathan Kozol and Dan Brown. Doug Mesecar, Acting Assistant Secretary of Education for Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development, was also on the show. The show discussed the experiences of a first-year high school teacher, and issues such as mandatory testing and the No Child Left Behind Act. I would be curious for others to listen to the 50-minute show and share their thoughts about it.
